GHC welcomes 10 new faculty members
Ten new faculty from varying educational experiences and backgrounds joined Georgia Highlands College this semester.
"We are extremely excited to have added these talented, astute educators to our already dynamic faculty,” GHC President Don Green said. “GHC is focused on making education relevant, accessible and beneficial to the community, while maintaining quality as we grow. Our faculty, as a whole, is evidence of that aim.”
New faculty include:
Kimberly Subacz holds a Master of and Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Science from Auburn University. She is an instructor of biology.
Randall “Randy” Green earned his public administration master’s degree from Jacksonville State University. He received his Bachelor of Science from Shorter University. He is an instructor of criminal justice and political science.
Whitney Austin is currently a Ph.D. candidate in public policy and public administration at Walden University. She holds a Master of Public Administration from Kennesaw State University as well as a Bachelor of Science in Communication. She is a professor of political science.
Christina Wolfe has two dual degrees. One is a dual Ph.D. in sociology and demography, and the other is a dual master’s in sociology and demography. She earned her degrees from Pennsylvania State University. She is an assistant professor of sociology.
Sandra Howell is an instructor of mathematics who earned a bachelor’s in mathematics from LaGrange College and master’s from Auburn University.
Amy Gandolfi holds a master’s in film/video/digital imaging from Georgia State University and a bachelor’s in public relations from Kennesaw State University. She is a humanities instructor.
Laura Gargis joins GHC as a librarian. She has a Master of Science in Library and Information Studies from Florida State University. She also holds a bachelor’s in English from Southwestern University.
Christin Collins is an assistant librarian for public services. She holds a Master of Library Science from the University of Kentucky and a Bachelor of Science from Georgia State University.
M’Lyn Spinks is currently pursuing her Doctor of Nursing Science at Kennesaw State University and holds a Master of Nursing from the University of West Georgia. She joins the nursing faculty at GHC.
Regina Gupta earned her Bachelor of Arts from Berry College and her Associate of Science in Dental Hygiene from Georgia Highlands College. She will complete her Master of Health Science from Nova Southeastern University this semester. She is an instructor of dental hygiene.
