Several honored at Cobb Education Consortium program

The Cobb Education Consortium (CEC) awarded GHC Recruiter Rick Watters the Spirit Award for exemplifying the “spirit” of the CEC. Assistant Professor of Communication Meredith Ginn, who also serves as a CEC Steering Committee Member, presented the award to Watters.

Additionally, GHC Marietta Dean Ken Reaves and Director of Libraries Elijah Scott were recognized as leaders in their CEC group project, while VP/Chief Human Resource Officer Ginni Siler received her one-year service certificate.

For nearly 25 years, the CEC has been dedicated to improving the quality of education among its member institutions. The consortium is a unique, solution-based collaborative with the participating schools, colleges and universities working together unselfishly for the benefit of their students.

The consortium is composed of the six public educational entities in Cobb County, Georgia: Chattahoochee Technical College, Cobb County School District, Georgia Highlands College, Kennesaw State University, Marietta City Schools and Southern Polytechnic State University. These CEC members enroll over 140,000 students from throughout their service areas.
