Lady Chargers Celebrate Veterans Day with huge win
On a day to remember the service and sacrifice of those that served our country, the GHC Lady Chargers honored veterans at half time of the game and did not disappoint the home crowd on the court with a 70 – 40 victory over the Lady Cougars of Cleveland State. Cleveland State came into the game with a 4 -0 record but did not have an answer for the Lady Chargers Aujana Dawkins who had a stellar night with 28 points and 19 rebounds in only 29:30 minutes of play, followed by Deana Blankinship with 14 points and 11 rebounds and twin sister Danyella Blankinship with 11 points, 4 rebounds and 2 steals.
The Lady Chargers were dominate on the boards out rebounding Cleveland State 51 – 17. The Lady Chargers record goes to 1-2 on the season, they return to action on the road at Wallace - State Hanceville on Friday at 3:00pm EST.
