8th Annual Managing Human Resources Seminar to be held at Georgia Highlands College

The Georgia Highlands College Office of Continuing Education will be hosting the 8th Annual Managing Human Resources Seminar on August 6 from 8:30am – 2:30pm. The seminar will focus on the changing employment landscape in Northwest Georgia and how to attract and retain high quality talent.

 

The seminar will cover several relevant topics including:

•  Q&A session on economic development and the future economic climate in Northwest Georgia

•  Managing generational diversity and how to integrate and capitalize on the behaviors and attitude

Baby Boomers and Gen XYZers bring to the workplace

•  The benefits of providing growth and development opportunities for employees   

•  Q&A session on the hot legal issues facing employers today

 

Speakers will include Cartersville/Bartow County Economic Development Director - Melinda Lemmon; Bartow County College and Career Academy CEO - Dr. Paul Sabin, NWGRC Workforce Development Director - Gwen Dellinger, City of Rome Human Resources Director - Rita Odom, Shaw Inc. Manager of Organizational Development – Steve Hawkins, and Constangy, Brooks, and Smith Attorney – Dan Murphy.

 

This seminar will be held at the Georgia Highlands College Cartersville Campus on Highway 20 in Cartersville. This seminar is for anyone who manages, supervises or leads employees. The cost to attend is $59 per person or pay for four employees and the 5th attends for free. Registration costs includes lunch.
