The women's team won, 84-60 in a historic game that opened both the 2012-13 season and the basketball program at GHC.  The men had a tougher battle against East Mississippi Community College, which was ranked 8th nationally, and made the Sweet 16 playoffs last year.  Che Chargers fell 97-57 in their opener.  Both men's and women's basketball teams headed to Sooba, Mississippi at noon Thursday, Nov. 1 for the first game of their respective seasons with East Mississippi Community College.  Visit the photo gallery of their departure here.
